- Ogun Nig.Ltd. sold #1 shares at #1.20.A woman bought 20000 shares. a) If a dividend of 8 kobo per share was declared,find the dividend she received. b) She later sold the shares at #1.50 each.How much profit did she make on this sale?
- Calculate the amount yielded by savings of #25000 for 3 years at 12 1/2% per annum compounded annually.
.Find the maximum and minimum values of the function 2x^3 -3x^2 +12x+18.Hence sketch the curve whose equation is 2x^3-3x^2 +12x +18.

- From a horizontal distance of 8.5 km, a pilot observes that the angle of depression of the top and base of control towers are 30 and 33 respectively.Calculate, correct to 3.s.f:
a. The shortest distance between the pilot and the base of the control tower;
b. the height of control tower. (May/June 1991/ 12 Theory)
2) A simple measuring device is used at point X and Y on the same horizontal level to measure the angle of elevation of the peak P of a certain mountain.If X is known to be 5 200 m above sea level /X Y/=4 000 m and the measurements of the angle of elevation P at X and Y are 15 and 35 respectively,find the height of the mountain.(Take tan 150=0.3 and tan 350=0.7
3) The surface area of a sphere is 616 m^2,what is the volume of the sphere? Correct to 2 sf.
4) Find the total surface area of a cube of side 8cm.
5)A wire was shaped to form a of square of area 81 cm^2.An equilateral triangle was formed by the same wire. What is the length of the side of the triangle formed?
